At Kid Clan, children are encouraged to explore and discover the mind-body connection in a fun-filled way through therapeutic yoga. Yoga improves concentration and focus, stimulates imagination and helps to release energy in an enjoyable, safe, and noncompetitive environment. The use of stretching exercises promotes strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques guide children to focus, relax and develop self-control and to channel impulses in a positive way. Breathing techniques also help with coordination of breathing and speaking helping to develop more optimal speech function. Children will laugh, giggle, sing, stretch and breathe as we play during this interactive class using therapeutic techniques.
